11/1/11 marked the one year anniversary of THE panic attack. When these pictures were taken I had been on medication for a little less than one year. My husband is a fireman and when he is on shift, it is 24 hours. I was able to take the kids “trick or treating” on Halloween and also to the pumpkin patch, by myself. I also attended my nieces 1st communion. All are little victories for someone with a panic disorder and agoraphobia.

My name is Ainel Varona. I am a mother, a wife and a professional in the corporate world. I love to laugh, write and relax whenever possible. I was diagnosed with a severe anxiety disorder, tic disorder and agoraphobia in 2010. I had been suffering with symptoms of anxiety all of my life, but did not know it was anxiety. After my 2nd child, it became unmanageable. After a long journey, I was able to control my disorder with medication and I am living an awesome life! I would love to share my story to let other sufferers know that it is ok to take medication! Get the anxiety and panic under control, then explore other options. Calmly, Me ❤️
